Football Coaches Release Football-Only Conference Plan

The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association and the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association released a football-only conference alignment proposal for the 2020 season to member schools Monday.

Kimberly, Waunakee, Rice Lake Earn Football Titles

Kimberly (14-0) won its fifth straight State championship and extended its nation-leading winning streak to 70 games with a 27-7 win over Sun Prairie in the Division 1 title game Friday evening at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

Waunakee (14-0) won its sixth State championship with a fourth quarter, come-from-behind 14-13 win over previously undefeated Brookfield Central in the Division 2 championship game Friday at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

Rice Lake (11-2) captured its second State title with a convincing 25-3 victory over previously unbeaten New Berlin Eisenhower in the Division 3 championship game Friday at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

Lodi, Amherst, St. Mary's Springs & Bangor Win Football Titles

Lodi (14-0) capped an undefeated season with a 17-10  overtime win over defending champion St. Croix Central in the Division 4 championship game Thursday at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

Amherst (13-1) rode the record-breaking efforts of Marcus Glodowski to win its third consecutive State championship with a 28-21 triumph over Lake Country Lutheran in the Division 5 championship game Thursday at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

St. Mary’s Springs (14-0) won its seventh championship with a 35-12 victory over Iola-Scandinavia in the Division 6 championship game Thursday at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

Bangor (14-0) won its second championship in the past three seasons with a 37-14 win over previously undefeated Black Hawk in the Division 7 championship game Thursday at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

State Football Championships Preview

The 42nd Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Football State Championship Finals will be held Thursday and Friday, Nov. 16-17, at Camp Randall Stadium on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. 

Avoid the lines the day of the game by buying State Football Finals tickets now online at www.wiaawi.org/Tickets.aspx or find the ticket link on the home page of the WIAA website. Ticket prices for the event are $8 per game for adults, $20 for a Thursday all-day pass, $15 for a Friday all-day pass and $30 for a two-day pass. Admission for children 6-years old and under is $1 per game.
