The WIAA began sponsoring girls lacrosse with a Tournament Series in 2024. Thirty-six school programs offered the sport in its first season, including 35 eligible to compete for a State championship.
One division of tournament play culminated with a championship game conducted at the Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium at Ashley Field, Sun Prairie, Wis. Kettle Moraine/Badgere was crowned champion of the first tournament with a 17-15 win over University School of Milwaukee.
