2026 Spring WIAA PSA Radio Reads (with required Rural Mutual Insurance, Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and DOT PSAs)
Radio and television stations transmitting high school tournament events agree to read WIAA promotional public service announcements during the transmissions of each event. These promotional reads are to be utilized to fill the two minutes of promotional inventory required in all WIAA regional, sectional and State Tournament transmissions. The Rural Mutual Insurance and the Dept. of Transportation radio read scripts are required to be included in the two minutes of the inventory of any regional, sectional or State Tournament event transmitted.
Spring Media Guide
The WIAA Spring Media Guide is available on the restricted Media Center area of the WIAA website prior to the start of the spring tournaments.
Tournament Series Audio Transmissions Applications
A reminder to complete and submit requests to transmit audio transmissions during the pre-State tournaments using the Audio Transmission Application online form on the restricted area of the Media Center. We will again provide links to the streams of the transmissions on the Web Stream Central page of the WIAA website.
Tournament Series Video Transmissions Applications
Another new item relates to video broadcasts and productions. Like we do with all tournament audio transmissions, we will be requiring all requests for transmitting video from tournament series events be submitted to the WIAA office by completing the online Video Transmissions Application found in the restricted Media Center of the WIAA website. With your cooperation, we can assist in promoting and directing visitors to our website to your stream via our Web Stream Central page. All media and Internet sites interested in acquiring video transmission of pre-State WIAA Tournament Series events must make arrangements with Rush Media (608) 849-3200. Video transmission rights are required and rights fees are applicable for stations and/or internet sites that originate a video transmission or that pick-up live or delayed feeds and/or links from another station, internet site or cable operator. Inquiries for television video transmission or internet video transmission permission must be done prior to the date of the contest. Entities not adhering to permission policies are subject to fines imposed by the rights holder (Rush Media/NFHS Network). For additional details, review the WIAA Live Transmissions Protocol Chart.
