The 119th Boys Track and Field Championships and the 44th Girls Track and Field Championships will be held Friday and Saturday, June 6-7, in La Crosse. Ticket prices for the meet are $8 for each session or $12 for both sessions Friday if purchased at the stadium. All-session tickets are available for $20. Tickets may also be purchased online with an applicable convenience fee. To order online, access the ticket link on the WIAA website homepage.

The WIAA is looking for additional volunteers to work the State Track Meet on Friday and/or Saturday, June 6-7. Volunteers receive free admission to the meet, free parking, a meet polo shirt (adults) and cap, invitation to the Friday breakfast buffet, and lunch on both Friday and Saturday.

Areas of particular need are:  information/packet pick-up table, awards, escorting athletes, field events, and umpires.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The installation of pole vault planting box padding permitted under Rule 7-5-24 will be a requirement in high school track and field beginning with the 2014-15 season.

This was one of 13 rules changes approved by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Track and Field Rules Committee at its June 10-12 meeting in Indianapolis. All rules changes were subsequently approved by the NFHS Board of Directors.
