NFHS 2013-14 Wrestling Rule Changes Announced

Effective with the 2013-14 season, forfeits in high school wrestling will no longer count toward a wrestler’s daily match limit. Currently, wrestlers are limited by rule to five matches in one day.  This change in Rule 1-4-2 was one of five rules changes made by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Wrestling Rules Committee at its April 8-10 meeting in Indianapolis. 

Membership Approves Four Amendments at Annual Meeting

The membership of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association passed four amendments impacting the membership’s Bylaws and Rules of Eligibility and received election results for the available Board of Control and Advisory Council positions at the 118th Annual Meeting held at the Holiday Inn and Convention Center in Stevens Point today.

Board Modifies Realignment Proposal; Approves Raise in Officials’ Payments

The Board of Control reviewed the topics on the agenda for Wednesday’s Annual Meeting, modified a first consideration of a conference realignment proposal involving the Coulee, Mississippi Valley and Southwest Wisconsin Conferences and raised payment for tournament officials at its April meeting today.
