Winneconnie's Mitchell Wins Girls' 3-Point Challenge

Grace Mitchell, a junior from Winneconne, won the 2026 girls 3-Point Challenge held Saturday morning at the Resch Center in conjunction with the State Girls Basketball Tournament.

Mitchell, representing Division 3, was one of 10 participants in the 3-Point Challenge, which was held for the 10th time. She scored 20 points in the third round to win the contest. Mitchell scored 14 points in first round and 16 points in the second round to advance to the final round.

Senior Claudia Asman of Kimberly was runner-up with 18 points in the third round. She scored 21 points in the first round and advanced to the final round with 15 points in the second round.

Sophomore Brooklyn Talmage of Boyceville finished third. She scored 15 points in the first round to advance to the second round. Talmage scored 13 points in the second round. Senior Zoey Siders of Valders advanced to the second round with 15 points in the opening round. She placed fourth with 12 points in the second round.

Other participants were freshman Kinley Petersen of Fox Valley Lutheran, senior Aubrey Schettle of Lourdes Academy, senior Breanna Heller of Mauston, senior Riley Ward of Whitnall, junior Kardyn Peppler of Hortonville and freshman Elly Gardner of Columbus Catholic.
