Spring/Summer Sportsmanship Award Winners Selected

The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, in partnership with Rural Mutual Insurance Company, has selected the team Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2014 Spring and Summer State Team Tournaments.

The winners of the prestigious award are New Holstein in girls soccer, Eau Claire Memorial in boys tennis, Arcadia in softball, Oconto in spring baseball and Oak Creek in summer baseball.


NFHS Rules Changes Approved in High School Baseball, Softball

Beginning with the 2015 high school baseball season, teams will be allowed to use video monitoring or replay equipment for coaching purposes during games.  In softball, two rules changes were recommended by the NFHS Softball Rules Committee at its June 16-18 meeting in Indianapolis and subsequently approved by the NFHS Board of Directors.

Baseball Crowns Four Champs; Sun Prairie Wins Third Straight

Sun Prairie (27-5) won the Division 1 State championship for the third consecutive season by downing Kimberly (21-8) 5-2 in title game Thursday at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute, Wis.

The Cardinals become just the second program to win three striaight championships joining Nekoosa, which won Class B titles in 1980-82.
