Fall Sportsmanship Award Recipients Selected

STEVENS POINT, Wis.– The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, in cooperation with Rural Mutual Insurance Company, has selected the team Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2014 Fall State Championships. 

The winners of the State Team Tournament Sportsmanship Awards are Marathon in girls volleyball, Menomonee Falls in boys soccer, Pepin/Alma in football, University School in girls team tennis and Arrowhead in boys volleyball.


State Girls Volleyball Quarterfinal Recap

Burlington, Muskego, Divine Savior Holy Angels and Germantown each advanced to the semifinals in Division 1 with wins in the quarterfinals of the WIAA State Girls Volleyball Tournament Thursday at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wis.

State Girls Volleyball Tournament Preview

The 42nd Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Volleyball State Tournament will take place Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 6-8, at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wis. Fall Sportsmanship Award Winners Selected

The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, in cooperation with Rural Mutual Insurance Company,  has selected the team Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2013 Fall State Championships.

The winners of the State Team Tournament Sportsmanship Awards are Brookfield East in boys volleyball, Ashland in boys soccer, Oshkosh North in football, Middleton in girls team tennis and Hilbert in girls volleyball.


Thurwachter Enshrined into Wisconsin Volleyball Hall of Fame

Marcy Thurwachter, Assistant Director of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, was inducted into the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame at the All-State Banquet Sunday, Dec. 8, held at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wis.

State Girls Volleyball Champions Crowned

The 41st State Girls Volleyball Tournament concluded Saturday with four champions being crowned from among the 474 programs set out in pursuit of a State championship.
