40-Second Play Clock, State Option for Postseason Instant Replay Among Football Changes

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (February 11, 2019) — In an effort to establish a more consistent time period between downs in high school football, the play clock will start at 40 seconds instead of 25 seconds in many cases beginning with the 2019 season. 

Revised Football-Only Conference Plan Released

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association and the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association released a revised football-only conference alignment proposal for the 2020 season Friday.

Board Approves New Conference Realignment Process, Fall Sports Changes

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control unanimously approved a task force recommendation to revamp the conference realignment process, and voted on changes to the fall sports season regulations at its Jan. 30 meeting.

State Football Championships Preview

The 43rd Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Football State Championship Finals will be held Thursday and Friday, Nov. 15-16, at Camp Randall Stadium on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. 

Sevastopol Wins First Eight-Player Football Title

Sevastopol (11-1) won the first eight-player football State championship game with a 38-30 victory over Luck (11-1) Saturday at Forward Field at Oriole Park in Stanley, Wis.
