State Boys Basketball Tournament Preview

The 103rd Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Basketball State Tournament will take place Thursday-Saturday, March 15-17, at the Kohl Center on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. 

Ticket prices for the tourney are $10 per session (two games in a session) for all seating purchased at the Kohl Center. Ticket windows are available one hour prior to the start of any session. Tickets are available online for $12. All online tickets are print at home or available at the Will-Call window.

Appleton North Goes for 2nd Straight Title in Division 1

Defending champion and fourth-seeded Appleton North (23-4) earned its opportunity to play for a second straight championship with a 52-38 victory over top-seeded Arrowhead in the Division 1 semifinals Friday evening at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wis.

Second-seeded Mukwonago (25-2) earned its berth in the Division 1 State championship game with a 58-48 win over Oak Creek in the semifinals Friday night.

Aquinas, Melrose-Mindoro to Clash in Division 4 Final

A pair of undefeated teams will match-up in the Division 4 championship game. 

Aquinas (27-0) remained undefeat by cruising to a 75-38 victory over Crandon in the Division 4 semifinals at the State Girls Basketball Tournament Thursday evening at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

Melrose-Mindoro (27-0) kept its perfect season intact with a 64-30 win over Manitowoc Lutheran in its Division 4 semifinal game Thursday evening.

WIAA Board of Control June Meeting Release

The Board of Control reviewed and approved a number of committee recommendations impacting winter sports, gave initial review and consideration of a newly conceived divisional placement plan for basketball, and engaged in robust membership-related discussions at its June meeting today.
