Task Force Conducts Conference Realignment Reviews & Appeals

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Conference Realignment Task Force Committee reviewed plans on Jan. 6 that were initially advanced for further consideration and to conduct appeals of realignment requests that were denied last month.

Gralla Retires from Executive Office Position; Mortimer Promoted to Assistant Director

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association announced the retirement of Joan Gralla, a long-time member of the executive office staff, and the promotion of Kassie Mortimer (formerly McGettigan) to assistant director, effective on Dec. 22, 2020.

Board Addresses Quarantine Period & Reviews Sports Season Calendar

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control, at its special meeting today, reviewed and reaffirmed the winter sports guidance recommendation requiring a 14-day quarantine period before student-athletes return to participation following close contact with anyone tested positive for COVID-19.

Fall Tournament Sportsmanship Award Winners Selected

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Conference Realignment Task Force reviewed 17 football-only requests in the first meeting of the membership’s 2022-23 realignment review process Tuesday.

Football-Only Conference Realignment Request Period Closes

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The application process for member schools requesting football-only conference realignment for the 2022-23 season closed on Nov. 15. There are 17 requests for conference football-only realignment, involving 23 conferences.

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Brookfield East won its second straight team championship, and Abby Wanezek and Reilly Tiltmann each won four events to highlight the 2020 Division 1 State Girls Swimming & Diving Championships at the Waukesha South High School Natatorium Saturday.
