Important Rule Reminders Following School Closure Announcement

Here are a number of reminders for athletic directors and coaches as the DHS COVID-19 Executive Order has been extended through May 26, 2020. All WIAA rules remain in effect. These include code of conduct enforcement, in-season vs. out-of-season instruction and school year vs. summer contact opportunities – at this time.

WIAA to Review Options to Determine Fate of Spring Sports

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control will discuss the membership’s options for the remainder of the spring sports seasons and for summertime regulations at its scheduled meeting on April 21 via video conferencing.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The 2019 State Boys and Girls Track & Field Championships produced eight team champions and 117 event champions at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex Friday and Saturday.

Track & Field/Cross Country Changes Simplify Uniform Rule

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Further simplification of the uniform rule in track and field, and clarification on the method of determining the order of finish in cross country highlight 2019 rules changes in those two high school sports.

2018 State Track & Field Meet Recap

The 2018 State track & field meet crowned eight team champions and 118 event champions this weekend at Veterans Memorial Stadium in La Crosse.

Waukesha West was crowned the girls’ champion in Division 1 with 38 points. Wittenberg-Birnamwood was the Division 2 champion for the second consecutive year with 50 points, and the Benton/Scales Mound/Shullsburg co-op won the Division 3 championship with 40 points.

Kimberly won the boys Division 1 team champion with 74 points, and Rice Lake won the Division 2 crown with 53 points. Cambridge was the champion in Division 3 with 62 points.

Madison La Follette won the girls’ wheelchair division title for the second straight season with 40 points, and Chippewa Falls was the team champion in the boys’ wheelchair division with 52 points.
