State Girls Basketball Tournament Preview

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The 47th Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Basketball State Tournament will take place Thursday-Saturday, March 9-11, at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wis.

MADISON, Wis. – The 80th Annual State Individual Wrestling Tournament produced 42 boys’ champions and 12 girls’ champions Saturday, including four wrestlers to claim the fourth championship of their high school careers.

Dow Inducted into Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Hall

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Mel Dow, the associated director of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, was enshrined into the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame during the induction ceremony in Green Bay on Saturday, Nov. 5.

NFHS Wrestling Rule Revisions Released

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — High school wrestlers may now have facial hair on the entire face and chin, provided a skin check can still be conducted. Previously, wrestlers were required to be clean shaven with the exception of sideburns and a neatly trimmed mustache.
