STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association will release the 2026 Boys Basketball Tournament Series seeds and pairings during one-hour live program and will stream the State Girls Individual Wrestling and Team Wrestling Tournament qualifiers on Sunday, Feb. 22.
The basketball program will be aired live at 11 a.m. on WKOW 27.2 in Madison, WAOW 9.2 in Wausau, WXOW 19.2 in La Crosse and WQOW 18.2 in Eau Claire, WCFW CW14 in Green Bay and WVTV 24.1 in Milwaukee.
Keegan Hewitt and Karl Winter, news directors at WAOW-TV and WKOW-TV, respectively, will serve as the hosts of the boys basketball show, which will feature the announcement and first-round matchups for five divisions of the Tournament Series. He will be joined by Mark Miller and Travis Wilson for analysis.
There are 485 teams entering the postseason boys basketball tournament, which will culminate with the State Boys Basketball Tournament Thursday-Saturday, March 19-21 at the Kohl Center in Madison, which will be aired and streamed live in its entirety on WIAA State Television Network stations and their websites, as well as on the WIAA Sports Live and network stations’ apps.
Complete brackets with seeded teams and the first-round regional pairings will be available on the WIAA website following the live program.
The State Girls Individual Wrestling and the Team Wrestling Tournament program will be streamed live at 3 p.m. on Wiwrestle.com. The show will also stream on WIAA State Television stations’ websites, including WKOW.com, WAOW.com, WXOW.com and WQOW.com, Fox11online.com, as well as on the WIAA Sports Live and network stations’ apps.
Nate Arguinego and Mateah Hanson will host the show, which will feature the announcement and first-round matches for 12 weight classes in one division of the State Girls Individual Wrestling Tournament, and the wild card and qualifying teams for the three divisions of the State Team Wrestling Tournament.
There are 192 girl qualifiers entering the State Individual Wrestling Tournament scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 26-28, at the Kohl Center in Madison. This marks the fifth year of the girls tournament. The finals of the Individual Wrestling Tournament will be aired live on the WIAA State Television Network channels Saturday, with coverage beginning at 5 p.m.
The State Team Wrestling Tournament will feature a new format with eight teams per division and will be held for the first time at the La Crosse Center on March 6-7. The entire team tournament will be streamed live on WIAA.TV.
