Random Lake's Martin Wins 3-Point Challenge

Austin Martin, a senior from Random Lake, won the 2017 boys 3-Point Challenge held Saturday morning at the Kohl Center in conjunction with the State Boys Basketball Tournament.

Martin, representing Division 4,  was one of 10 participants in the 3-Point Challenge, which was held for the third time. He scored 18 points in the final round to win the contest. Senior Keaton of Waukesha South, last year's champion, was second with 17 points in the final round.

Martin scored 17 points in the opening round and 18 in the semifinals. Stremick opened with 22 points and followed with a 18 in the semifinals. Senior Bryce Te Kulve of Luxemburg-Casco and senior Neal Cerveny of Gresham also advanced to the semifinals with first-round totals of 21 and 17, respectively.  

Other participants were Nicholas Brozek of Fall River, Colton Groholski of Amherst, Zach Borden of Kenosha Bradford, Eric Carl of Kaukauna, Caleb Gracyalny of Clinton and Reid Larson of Fennimore.
