All 11 championships and previous 15 experiences came in Division 2. They won back-to-back titles in 2017-18. In addition, they won four straight titles from 2004-07, another two straight championships in 2011-12 and 2022-23, as well as one other in 2014. They have also placed runner-up at State three times–in 2008, 2009 and 2013. Eau Claire Memorial is seeded fourth. The Old Abes are making their third straight appearance and their 24th overall, which leads all member schools in number of tourney appearances.
