Please note that the WIAA Board of Control recently passed a recommendation from the Softball Coaches Advisory Committee that changes the current game maximums for varsity and junior varsity softball for the spring season (2013):

The maximum number of games is 26.

The old language allowed for 18 games and 2 multi-game dates.
Coaches Advisory felt that the interpretation regarding the make-up of multi-game dates (primarily for tournaments) was too restrictive.  This will also bring softball in line with baseball’s maximum number of games.

There is no change in the maximum number of freshman team games; 17.
