STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control approved action items and received executive staff updates and reports at its September meeting today.

Among the action items receiving approval were the general fund payments for August, and renewal of the agreement with Visual Image Photography as the Official Photography Partner of the WIAA State Tournaments through 2021. 

The executive staff provided the Board with reports on the Area Meetings in Mount Horeb and Oconomowoc, which are the first two of seven Area Meetings around the state this fall. In addition, the Board was provided an initial overview of the 2016-17 operations budget. 

Other topics presented in the executive staff reports to the Board were ongoing social media promotional efforts and a membership survey designed to gather data from the membership on competitive equity and sport season placement. Conference realignment, corporate sponsorship and technology updates were also discussion topics. The Board also received a liaison report from Tim Collins of the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association. 

The membership of the WIAA oversees interscholastic athletic programs for 514 senior high schools and 35 junior high/middle level schools in its membership.
