Semifinals Produce 84 Contenders for Individual Wrestling Titles

The match-ups for the finals of the 2018 State Individual Wrestling Tournament have been determined with 84 wrestlers remaining in contention for gold medals after semifinal bouts at the Kohl Center Friday.

State Individual Wrestling Tournament Preview

The 75th Annual State Individual Wrestling Tournament will be held Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 22-24, at the Kohl Center on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. Ticket prices per tournament session are $8. Tickets are available on-line on the WIAA website with a $2 service fee until two hours prior to any respective session with the printing of the ticket by the purchaser. Tickets are also available at the Kohl Center during the tournament.

The true success story of Trackwrestling began with its founder Justin Tritz, a native of Vesper, Wis., located a few miles outside of Wisconsin Rapids. Alternate Two-Piece Uniform Approved for High School Wrestling

An alternate two-piece uniform consisting of compression shorts or shorts designed for wrestling and a form-fitted compression shirt has been approved for the 2017-18 season in high school wrestling. Wrestlers will have the option of the new two-piece uniform or the traditional one-piece singlet.
