Winter Team Sportsmanship Awards Selected

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, in cooperation with Rural Mutual Insurance, has chosen the recipients of the team sportsmanship awards for the 2019 winter State Tournaments.

Ashley Stich of Kenosha Nominated for Spirit of Sport Award

STEVENS POINT, Wis. — Ashley Stich of Kenosha Tremper High School has been selected as the 2019 Wisconsin nominee for the National High School Spirit of Sport Award presented by the National Federation of State High School Associations.

MADISON, Wis. – Top-seeded Brookfield Central (23-5) gained position of the Division 1 title with a 69-52 victory over Sun Prairie in the 2019 State Boys Basketball Tournament Saturday night at the Kohl Center.

Nicolet Wins Div. 2 Boys Basketball Championship

MADISON, Wis. – Top-seeded Nicolet (27-1) earned the Division 2 title with a 67-54 victory over Milwaukee Washington in the 2019 State Boys Basketball Tournament Saturday evening at the Kohl Center.

Martin Luther Claims Div. 3 Boys Basketball Title

MADISON, Wis. – Top-seeded Martin Luther (25-3) won the Division 3 title with a 58-49 triumph over Waupun in the 2019 State Boys Basketball Tournament Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center.

 

New Glarus Crowned Champion in Division 4

MADISON, Wis. – Fourth-seeded New Glarus (26-2) won the Division 4 championship with a 67-62 victory over Lourdes Academy in the 2019 State Boys Basketball Tournament Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center.

Sheboygan Lutheran Wins Div. 5 Boys Basketball Title

Manitowoc Lutheran's Zastrow Wins 3-Point Challenge

MADISON, Wis. – Trey Zastrow, a junior from Manitowoc Lutheran, won the 2019 boys 3-Point Challenge held Saturday morning at the Resch Center in conjunction with the State Boys Basketball Tournament.
 

Brookfield Central, Sun Prairie Advance to Div. 1 Final

MADISON, Wis. –  Top-seeded Brookfield Central (22-5) defeated Neenah 61-47, and third-seeded Sun Prairie (21-6) outlasted West Allis Central 62-60 in overtime in the Division 1 semifinals of the 2019 State Boys Basketball Tournament Friday evening at the Kohl Center. 
 

Nicolet, Milwaukee Washington Advance to Div. 2 Title Game

MADISON, Wis. –  Top-seeded Nicolet (26-1) overcame a slow start to post a 70-46 win over Elkhorn, and second-seeded Milwaukee Washington (22-5) returns to the Division 2 title game for the second straight season following a 72-71 overtime victory over La Crosse Central in the Division 2 semifinals of the 2019 State Boys Basketball Tournament Friday afternoon at the Kohl Center.
