2016-18 Girls Gymnastics Rules Changes Include Value-Adding Clarity, New Elements

Kollross, Miehe, Kuhlmann Receive National Coaching Honors

Three high school coaches from Wisconsin and 22 high school coaches from across the country have been selected as 2015 National Coaches of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Coaches Association.

Receiving the honors from Wisconsin were Lucas Kollross of D.C. Everest in soccer, Arnie Miehe of Darlington in cross country and Karen Kuhlmann of Holmen in girls gymnastics.

The 45th Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Gymnastics State Championships will take place Friday and Saturday, March 6-7, at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. The team championships will begin Friday at 2 p.m. The individual competition will begin at 11:10 a.m. Saturday. Ticket prices for the championships are $6 per session and are available at the door.

A pair of perennial high school gymnastics programs continued its success Friday at the State Gymnastics Team Championship at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.

State Gymnastics Tournament Preview

The 44th Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Gymnastics State Championships will take place Friday and Saturday, March 7-8, at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. A revised schedule for the tournament will be implemented for the first time. The team championships will begin Friday at 2 p.m. The individual competition will begin at 11:10 a.m. Saturday. Winter Sports to Begin

Boys and girls hockey, gymnastics, and boys basketball begin practice on Monday, November 11. Boys swimming & dive, wrestling and girls basketball begin on Monday November 18. All 10-12th graders must report to practice on time and once any athlete begins practice on with a school team, they cannot continue nonschool competition.
