Winter Sportsmanship Award Recipients Named

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, in cooperation with Rural Mutual Insurance Company, has selected the team Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2021 Winter State Tournaments.

Alternate Season Boys & Girls Volleyball Tournament Preview

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The alternate season Girls Volleyball State Tournaments will be held Thursday and Saturday, April 15 and 17.  The  Division 1 girls State semifinals will be held Thursday at Kettle Moraine High School and the Division 2 girls semifinals will be held Thursday at Beaver Dam High School. The finals of both girls divisions and the alternate season Boys Volleyball State Tournament final will be played at Kaukauna High School Saturday.

Conference Realignment Task Force Conducts Review of Remanded Plans

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Conference Realignment Task Force Committee reviewed and voted Tuesday to not support the seven 11-player football-only plans that were remanded back to the committee by the Board of Control at its March 5 meeting.

Edgewood Wins State Girls Swimming & Diving Alternate Season Team Title

WAUKESHA, Wis. – The State Girls Swimming and Diving Alternate Season Championships produced a team champion and champions in nine individual events and three relays Tuesday at the Waukesha South High School Natatorium.

Shawano's Tuma Recipient of Spirit of Sport Award

Alternate Fall Season Culminating Events Planned

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association is planning culminating championships and tournaments for an alternate fall season created by the Board of Control last August as a COVID-19 accommodation for member schools opting to not conduct interscholastic athletics last fall.

WIAA Executive Director Search Narrowed to Four Candidates

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control has identified four candidates for the executive director position, replacing Dave Anderson, who announced his retirement in December, effective July 30, 2021.

Five Boys Basketball State Champions Crowned

STEVENS POINT, Wis. –  The 2021 State Boys Basketball Tournament crowned its five champions Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 25-27 with Divisions 2, 4 and 5 played at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wis., and Divisions 1 and 3 at the Menominee Nation Arena in Oshkosh, Wis.

Board Advances Constitutional Amendments; Approves 8-Player Football & Fast Track Realignment

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control voted to advance three Constitutional amendments to the Annual Meeting in May, approved three fast track and 8-player football conference realignment plans, as well as passing spring participation COVID-19 guidelines at its March meeting today.
