10,000 Officials Licensed | Still a Significant Need!

This week, the WIAA reached an all-time high of 10,021 officials, with 17,376 individual sport registrations across fourteen sports – but there’s still a significant need for high school officials in Wisconsin!

2024 Track & Field NFHS Rule Changes

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – In an effort to more clearly define false starts in high school track and field events, two new starting violations have been adopted for the 2024 season.

State Track & Field Championships Preview

STEVENS POINT, Wis. –  The 127th Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Track and Field Championships and the 52nd Girls Track and Field Championships will be held Friday-Saturday, June 2-3, at the Veterans Memorial Stadium Complex on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Team and Individual Champions Crowned at State Track & Field Championships

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The 2022 State Boys and Girls Track & Field Championships produced eight team champions and 117 event champions at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex Saturday. 

 

WIAA Enters Into Agreements to Keep State Track & Field in La Crosse

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association agreed to five-year contracts with the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Explore La Crosse to host the State Track andā€ˆField Championships in La Crosse through 2026.

Officials Flash Sale - ON NOW!

The WIAA is currently running a “No Late Fees” FLASH SALE window for any spring sports official who registers between February 15 - March 1 at 11:59 p.m. The cost to register is $35 plus $15 for each sport, which covers the cost of sending rules books. The $30 late fee normally charged to individuals renewing their registration outside of the annual re-licensing window from May 1-31, will be waived between the dates listed. New officials are not charged a late fee and can register at any time.

Board Defines Alternate Season; Winter & Spring Seasons Shortened

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association approved several details of a one-year alternative season in the spring for fall sports and reduced the number of weeks for sports during the 2020-21 winter and spring seasons at its August meeting today.

WIAA to Review Options to Determine Fate of Spring Sports

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control will discuss the membership’s options for the remainder of the spring sports seasons and for summertime regulations at its scheduled meeting on April 21 via video conferencing.
