Q – So what is the ruling on sleeves?
A – Very simple, wrestlers shall not wear arm or leg sleeves that do not contain a pad.
Q – How about using a non-padded sleeve to secure a customized pad that covers a knee or elbow?
A – Yes, this will be acceptable in Wisconsin. However, this would be the only exception to the rule and of course it must be approved by the contest official prior to the event.
Q – Will there be maximum length requirements for padded leg and arm sleeves?
A – No there will not. However, all pads are considered special equipment and must be approved by the meet official prior to the onset of the meet. Not at mat side! Again, this should be addressed in your pre-meet talk.
