Mosinee @ Antigo

The football officiating crew from the Mosinee Indians’ game in Antigo on September 4, 2026, would like to recognize the outstanding sportsmanship demonstrated by the Mosinee Football Program. Our crew was especially impressed by the positive leadership and sportsmanship displayed by the coaching staff and players throughout the contest.  When I asked the wing official to provide a rating for the post game report, he noted that his sideline experience was excellent. That observation ensued a discussion among our crew about the sportsmanship demonstrated by the Mosinee Football Program. During the pregame coaches’ meeting, it was immediately apparent that Coach Sanchez has great respect for the officials and has established clear expectations for his coaching staff and players. That respect continued throughout the entire contest.  First, the Mosinee coaching staff consistently maintained the required two-yard buffer along the sideline at the snap and during play.  Second, Coach Sanchez and his staff were appreciative and respectful of the explanations provided by the officials regarding situations that occurred.  Third, the lines judge was particularly grateful for the focus and effort of the ball person, who made sure the footballs remained dry and were exchanged repeatedly when the skies opened up with heavy rain. The players mirrored the actions and expectations of their coaches.  On the field, the umpire and referee appreciated their communication with the players.  The players were respectful and receptive when questions or concerns were addressed.  Although this rivalry game was hard-fought and hard-hitting, the players conducted themselves honorably and demonstrated their love of the game through their effort, intensity, and commitment on the field.The coaches and players worked hard and left it all on the field Friday night.  Their conduct was a reflection of the positive leadership of the coaching staff and the character of the players. Our entire crew would like to commend the Mosinee Indians Football Program and its community for the outstanding sportsmanship displayed throughout the evening. It was a pleasure to officiate a contest in which the expectations for respect, communication, and sportsmanship were so clearly demonstrated.  We wish the Indians continued success throughout the remainder of the season.
