State Girls Hockey Teams Advance to Championship

The first game of the semifinals has the Green Bay East Co-op advancing to the championship with a 2-1 victory over defending champion Hayward. Hayward's Jenna Curtis scores in the first period on an assist from Autumn Fenske. After a scoreless second period it's all Green Bay East in the third with goals coming from Abby Anderson, assist from Abby Comar and Megan Saari, assist from Anderson. Saves for Lauren Tremblay of Hayward 26 and for Ana Holzbach of Green Bay East 21.
In game two action the D.C. Everest Co-op advances with a 1-0 win over the Sun Prairie Co-op. The only score in the game was a power-play goal from Maggie Plaza, assisted by Taylor Treu. Saves for Taylor Thornton of Sun Prairie 19 and for Chloe Westberg of D.C. Everest 11.
