Securing Shoelaces

Q: What is considered an “acceptable fashion” of securing the shoelaces on wrestling shoes?
A: Shoe laces must be taped together, or tucked in a pocket of some type, or sometimes they are secured with a velcro strap of some sort. As was said in the interpretation ppt., a double knot is not acceptable. Some officials are allowing wrestlers to tuck the bows of the knot into the top of the shoes in lieu of the above. This is not considered an acceptable method of securing the laces. Enforce the rule!
