Racine St. Catherine's Wins the Division 4 State Boys Soccer Title

The Racine St. Catherine’s Angels win the 2016 State Division 4 Boys Soccer title for the second year in a row by defeating the Winnebago Lutheran Vikings 4-2 in overtime. Scoring for the Angels in the 38th minute was Andrew Villarreal on an assist from Manny Barajas. The Vikings answered with a goal in the 49th minute from Zach Wright with the assist coming from Luke Meihack. Winnebago Lutheran puts their second goal on the board in the 67th minute with Meihack’s header in the box off a free kick, assisted by John O’Connor. The Angels tie the game in the 85th minute on Villarreal's unassisted goal. In the 91st minute Barajas scores for Racine St. Catherine’s, unassisted. Villarreal scores his 3rd goal of the game in the 102nd minute. That goal puts him in the record book with most goals scored in a single game in Division 4. Nick Paul of Winnebago Lutheran had 10 saves and Alberto Galvan of Racine St. Catherine’s had 2.
