Q: I am wondering if there are any rules regarding some girls playing in a league before school is out. The first 2 weeks of the volleyball league are prior to school out. As I look at the rules it stated that other then the season of Volleyball they are not restricted. Please advise. This is a totally voluntary league.
A: Students may assemble in any manner they choose without school/coach involvement voluntarily. There used to be a rule that the athletes could not resemble a school team practicing or competing. That was removed several years ago.
School volleyball coaches have the limits. Coaches contact may begin on the last day of school, not before. Coaching contact is limited to five days during the summer from the last day of school to July 31. Football until July 23, 2016.
