Two amendments advanced to the Annual Meeting on April 20 at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Stevens Point centers on eligibility to serve on the Board of Control and the Advisory Council that was proposed by a member school at the Annual Meeting last year. 

One amendment would provide eligibility to serve on the Board of Control if employed part-time as an administrator, assistant administrator, high school principal or assistant high school principal at a member school. The second amendment would provide the same eligibility standards to serve on the Advisory Council.

The existing Constitutional requirements to serve on both the Board of Control and the Advisory Council requires full-time employment in the eligible administrative positions at a member school.

The committees were split on whether to support the measure for both the proposals. The Board of Control did not support passage of the amendment to allow part-time administrators to be eligible for the Board of Control by a 2-8 vote, nor did the Sports Advisory Committee support adoption by a 5-9 tally. The Advisory Council, however, voted 13-2 in support of the amendment.

Eligibility for part-time administrators to serve on the Advisory Council failed to gain support of the Board of Control by a 2-8 count. The Advisory Council supported the amendment 13-2, and the Sports Advisory Committee was split at 7-7.
