THE STATE TOURNAMENT: The 36th Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Soccer State Tournament will take place Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 2-4 at KOHLER Engines Stadium at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee, Wis. Ticket prices for the tournament are $8.
TOURNAMENT SEEDED FOR FIRST TIME: The 2017 State Tournament will be the first time the field is seeded. The coaches of the qualifying teams in Divisions 1 and 2 seeded those two divisions, and the coaches of the qualifying teams in Divisions 3 and 4 seeded those two brackets.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: The single-elimination tournament features four divisions. Four teams will compete for the State title in each of the divisions. Below are the pairings and time schedule of games.

STATE TOURNAMENTS LIVE ON THE WEB: The semifinals of all four divisions of the WIAA Boys Soccer State Tournament will be streamed live on the WIAA.TV portal of the NFHS Network on a subscription basis. To purchase a subscription to the live programming for $9.95 per month, log-on to www.wiaa.tv or www.nfhsnetwork.com and click on the subscription image in the middle of the page. Archived streams of the games will be available on demand on the NFHS Network 72 hours after the tournament without requirement of a subscription. The finals will be streamed on Fox Sports Go with cable system authentication.
FINALS ON FS WISCONSIN NETWORKS: Watch the broadcast of the WIAA Boys Soccer State finals Saturday on either FS Wisconsin or FS Wisconsin Plus. The Divisions 2, 1 and 4 games will be aired live on FS Wisconsin at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. The Division 3 championship final will be aired on FS Wisconsin Plus at 7 p.m. Check local cable listings for the channels in your area.
LAST YEAR: Marquette captured the crown in Division 1 for the third straight season with a 1-0 blanking of Green Bay Preble in the final. In Division 2, Whitefish Bay captured the crown for the second year in a row with a 4-0 shutout over Elkhorn. Delavan-Darien edged 2015 champion Mount Horeb 2-1 in the final to win the Division 3 title, and Racine St. Catherine’s doubled up Winnebago Lutheran 4-2 to earn the Division 4 gold trophy.
THE DIVISION 1 FIELD: Three-time defending champion Marquette advances to the State Tournament in pursuit of its fourth consecutive championship. The Hilltoppers have now qualified for State 17 times, all coming in the last 18 years. They have won 12 of the last 17 championships, winning four consecutive crowns from 2000-03 and adding titles in 2005, 2008, 2010-12 and 2014-16. In addition, they finished runner-up in 2004 and 2007. Prior to joining the WIAA, The Hilltoppers won 14 titles as a former member of WISAA. Those came 1974, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1984-86, 1989-90, 1992, 1994-97. They qualify this year by downing Oak Creek 5-1 in the Kenosha Tremper Sectional final. The Hilltoppers are the champions of the Greater Metro Conference this season. This will be the 15th trip to the State Tournament for Madison West. The Regents’ last appearance came in 2015. They have won three State titles, including back-to-back championships in 1987-88 and another in 1984. They have also recorded runner-up finishes in 1990 and 1986. The Regents are the representative from the Kettle Moraine Sectional with a 1-0 blanking of Middleton in the final. They placed third in the Big Eight Conference this fall. Eau Claire Memorial returns to the State Tournament for the 10th time and for the first time since 2014. The Old Abes best outcome in the tournament came with a runner-up finish in 2002. They shut out Green Bay Preble 1-0 in the Chippewa Falls Sectional final to reach the State semifinals. The Old Abes are the champions of the Big Rivers Conference this season. Arrowhead makes its sixth State appearance and its second in the past three seasons. The Warhawks were runner-up the last time they advanced to the tournament in 2015. They advanced to the title game one other time in their previous appearances, resulting in a runner-up finish in 1985. Arrowhead is the representative from the Oconomowoc Sectional following its 2-0 shutout victory over Oshkosh West in the final. The Warhawks finished runner-up in the Classic Eight Conference behind Division 2 qualifier Waukesha West this season.
DIVISION 2 FIELD: Two-time defending champion Whitefish Bay is making its 14th trip to the State Tournament and its fourth in the past five years. The Blue Dukes have now won six State titles. They won consecutive crowns in 1982-83 when the tournament featured one class. They added a Division 1 title in 1994 and Division 2 championships in 1995, 2015 and again last year. The Blue Dukes also advanced to the finals in 2003 and finished runner-up. They shut out Brookfield Central 4-0 in the final of the Shorewood Sectional to continue their pursuit of their third straight championship. They are the champions of the North Shore Conference in 2017. Oregon returns to State for the eighth time overall and for first time since the Panthers made three consecutive State appearances from 2012-14, which produced a championship in 2013. The Panthers also captured the Division 2 crown in 1998. They doubled-up Sauk Prairie, 4-2, in the final hosted by the Panthers to return to the semifinals in quest of a third State title. They finished runner-up to Monona Grove in the South Division of the Badger Conference this season. Waukesha West will appear in the State Tournament for the second year in a row and for the fourth time overall. The first two Wolverines’ experiences came in Division 1 in 2002 and 2010. They advance to the tournament this year by virtue of their 5-0 win over Wauwatosa East in the sectional final hosted by East. The Wolverines finished first in the Classic Eight Conference standing this season. New Richmond advances to the State Tournament field for the second consecutive year after making its first appearance at State last year, which resulted in a loss in the semifinals. The Tigers earned a return trip to Milwaukee following their 3-0 victory over Wausau East in the Merrill Sectional final. They finished third in the Middle Border Conference standings this season.
THE DIVISION 3 FIELD: Defending champion Delavan-Darien qualifies for State for the ninth time and for the third time in the last four seasons. In addition to winning the title last year, the Comets won the Division 3 championship in 2014 and the Division 2 title in 2000. Furthermore, they have four runner-up finishes on their ledger. Each of those came in Division 2 in 1994, 1996, 1998 and 2005. Last weekend, they turned back Catholic Memorial 2-0 in overtime to advance to State from the Shorewood Sectional. Delavan-Darien is the runner-up in the Southern Lakes Conference this season behind Elkhorn. Last year’s runner-up Mount Horeb continues on a quest to regain the State title. They won the championship in 2015. This is the Vikings’ fourth straight tournament appearance and its seventh time in the last eight seasons, which accounts for their overall total. In addition to the championship won in 2015, the Vikings also won the Division 2 championship in 2011 and were runners-up in 2012. They added a Division 3 runner-up finish in 2014. Mount Horeb advances to State this year with a 2-0 shutout over Evansville in the final of the McFarland Sectional. They captured the title in the North Division of the Badger Conference this fall. Plymouth is making its fourth appearance at State and its first since 2010. Each of the previous three experiences have been in Division 2, which includes a State championship in 2002. They qualify this year after beating Notre Dame 1-0 in overtime in the sectional final game played at Notre Dame. The Panthers won the title in the East Central Conference this season. Amery will make its first State Tournament appearance as a result of its 5-1 win over Amherst/Iola-Scandinavia/Rosholt in the Rice Lake Sectional final. The Warriors are the champions of the Middle Border Conference this year.
THE DIVISION 4 FIELD: The Prairie School returns to the tournament field for the eighth time overall and for the first time since 2014 when the Hawks’ won their fifth title. The Hawks won back-to-back championships on two different occasions. They captured Division 3 titles in 2004-05 and then duplicated that feat in 2010-11. With their Division 3 runner-up finish in 2003 and in Division 4 in 2014, the Hawks have advanced to the title game in each of their previous seven appearances. Prior to joining the WIAA as a former member of WISAA, the Hawks finished runner-up four times–in 1985, 1993, 1995 and 1996. Last week, they defeated Racine St. Catherine’s 2-1 in the sectional final hosted by St. Catherine’s at Union Grove to continue their pursuit of another title. The Prairie School finished third in the Metro Classic Conference this season. Sturgeon Bay qualifies for the sixth time overall and for the fourth time in the last five seasons. The Clippers won the championship in their most recent experience at State in 2015. This season, they advance to the semifinals with a 1-0 shutout over Wayland Academy in the Lomira Sectional final. They are the champions of the Packerland Conference this year. McDonell Catholic/Regis returns to State for the first time since the co-op made three consecutive appearances from 2007-09, which produced a runner-up finish in Division 3 in 2008. The Saints reach the final four this season with a 6-2 win over Columbus Catholic in the Arcadia Sectional final. McDonell Catholic/Regis played an independent schedule this season. Kohler is back in the State Tournament for the second time. The Blue Bombers’ first experience resulted in a runner-up finish in Division 3 in 2009. They edged Lake Country Lutheran 2-1 in the sectional final hosted at Kohler to advance to the State semifinals. They are the champions of the Big East Conference this season.
