Boy' Tennis Brackets Available

The 2014 WIAA Boy's Tennis brackets for the State Championship Individual Meet can be found on the WIAA website <<wiaawi.org>>.

The brackets are located on the Boy's Tennis webpage <<http://www.wiaawi.org/Sports/BoysTennis.aspx>>.

Division1 and Division 2 singles and doubles brackets have all been determined and posted.

The WIAA Individual Tennis Championship meet will begin on Thursday, June 5, at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the UW-Madison campus.  The State Team Championship for Division 1 will begin on Friday, June 13, and the Division 2 Team Championship will get underway on Saturday, June 14.

Tickets are sold at the door for $6 per session.

Tennis Subsectional Results

WIAA Boy's Tennis Subsectional play has now begun.  Twenty-three Subsectionals take place today, Tuesday, May 27, while one is scheduled for Wednesday, May 28.  

Results from each of the Subsectionals will become available on the WIAA website <<wiaawi.org>> as play concludes.  These results can be found on the WIAA Boy's Tennis webpage.

The 92nd Boy's Individual Championship will be held at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on June 5, 6 and 7, 2014.  The 19th WIAA Boy's Team Championship is scheduled for Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14, 2014, and is also held at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the University of Wisconsin--Madison campus.

State Boys Team Tennis Preview

The 19th Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Team Tennis Championships will be held Friday and Saturday, June 7-8. The meet takes place at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, Wis. Action will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday and will resume at 9 a.m. Saturday. Ticket prices are $6 per session.

State Boys Individual Tennis Preview

The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Individual Tennis Championships will be held Thursday through Saturday, May 30-June 1 at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, Wis. Action will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and resume at 9 a.m. Friday. Competition on Saturday begins at 8:30 a.m. Ticket prices are $6 per session.

Spring Sports Schedules Receive Reprieve

The WIAA Board of Control has approved "temporary scheduling relief" for spring sports schedules to address the significant scheduling challenges presented by the extreme inclement weather this spring.

Spring/Summer Sportsmanship Award Recipients Selected

The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, in cooperation with Rural Mutual Insurance Company, has selected the team Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2012 Spring and Summer State Team Championships.

The winners of the prestigious award are Notre Dame in boys tennis, Tigerton in softball, Greenwood in spring baseball, the Lake Country Lutheran and University Lake School co-op in girls soccer and Sheboygan Falls in summer baseball.
