Madison West Continues Boys Swimming & Diving Reign in Division 1

MADISON, Wis. – Madison West successfully defended its Division 1 title at the 95th Annual State Boys Swimming & Diving Championships at the UW Natatorium Saturday.

State Boys Swimming & Diving Championships Preview

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The 95th Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Swimming and Diving Championships will be held Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15-16, at the Natatorium on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. Ticket prices for the meet are $6 and are sold only at the UW Natatorium each day of the competition. 

NFHS Swimming/Diving Rules Changes Address Event Clarity, Definition, Flexibility

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — In an effort to assist meet personnel operating high school swimming and diving meets, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Board of Directors approved the Swimming and Diving Rules Committee's reorganization of Rule 1 and Rule 5.

NFHS Swimming & Diving Changes Address Risk & Championship Meet Format

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Among the changes to high school swimming and diving rules for 2017-18 are ones that address risk minimization and requirements for use of the championship meet format.

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Swimming and Diving Rules Committee recommended seven rules changes at its March 19-21 meeting in Indianapolis, and all changes were subsequently approved by the NFHS Board of Directors.

Waukesha South/Catholic Memorial Wins Div. 1 Boys Swimming & Diving Crown

Waukesha South/Catholic Memorial ended the reign of six-time champion Madison Memorial by winning the 2017 Division 1 Boys Swimming & Diving championship at the UW Natatorium Saturday.

The co-op program scored 246 team points, 30 more than runner-up Madison Memorial. Eau Claire Memorial/North placed third with a team score of 189. 

Monona Grove Cruises to 3rd Straight Swimming & Diving Title

Two-time defending champion Monona Grove entered the WIAA State Division 2 Boys Swimming and Diving Championships as the program to beat, and they proved to be all that and more Friday at the University of Wisconsin Natatorium in Madison.

The Silver Eagles won the first three events to jump out to a lead in the team standings, and they never looked back. They won seven events to propel the program to its third straight Division 2 title and its fourth in the last five season with a score of 381. That team score ranks second-highest in meet history. Ashwaubenon finished second with 232 points, and Grafton placed third with 208.
