The Middle Level Council, with the Board of Control, has the authority to initiate amendments to the Constitution, Bylaws and Rules of Eligibility of the WIAA as they pertain to proposals changing rules and regulations that affects grades 6-8 students affiliated for middle level membership.
The Middle Level Council consists of 10 members, including seven administrators, building administrators, and/or athletic directors of member middle level schools containing grades 6-8 students.
One of nine members is a gender at-large representative, one is a ethnic minority at-large representative and one is a non-public school at-large representative.
In addition, liaison representation is made available to the Department of Public Instruction, Wisconsin Association of Middle Level Educators and the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Association.
