The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and a wind chill warning for much of the state Monday and into Tuesday, causing school closures and cancellation of school activities.

What is described as a dangerous combination of cold and wind is expected early this week with expected wind chill indices dropping to as low as -35 to -50. The bitter cold Arctic air mass is expected to reside over Wisconsin through Tuesday.

Check your local school's schedules for cancellations and postponements in your area.
